2023 was marked by a birth for the Monegasque royal family. Last April, Louis Ducruet and his wife, Marie, welcomed their first child together. A little girl named Victoire, eight months old. If both parents regularly share photos of their baby on Instagram, they are always careful not to reveal their face. This Wednesday, January 3, in an interview for Point of Viewthey also explained why they prefer to preserve the identity of their daughter for the moment.
Louis and Marie Ducruet explained wanting to keep Victoire’s identity a secret at the moment for two reasons: “Victoire is still too youngwe want to keep a little privacy and not expose it right away”, explains the son of Stéphanie de Monaco. Before adding: “She has plenty of time to be, considering the family she comes from.” For her part, the 31-year-old young woman says she is afraid of the danger that social networks represent: “I read a lot about child crime. Everything goes so fast on social networks (…) I don’t want to take that kind of risk.”

Louis and Marie Ducruet: why did they choose to call their daughter Victoire?

The daughter-in-law of Stéphanie of Monaco also revealed to us why she and Louis Ducruet chose to call their daughter Victoire: “Both of us wanted a French first name, old. Victory seemed obvious to us. Between us, we say that it is the victory of Louis who wanted to have a child for so many years.” A baby who fills the family with happiness.
