Stephanie Stumph has been mastering the balancing act between mother and acting roles for a year now. She knew that she wanted to be a mother one day, but she could have imagined it differently.

Since June 2022, Stephanie Stumph, 38, has been playing what is probably the most exhausting but also the most beautiful role of her life: she has become a mom. The little man makes her life that little bit more perfect. She could have imagined a life without children, she says on the “NDR Talk Show” on Friday, June 23, 2023.

Stephanie Stumph, 38, made a conscious decision to become a mom. With her partner Florian, she made this dream come true last year. But as much as she now feels comfortable in her role as a mother, she is sure that she could have been happy without children. “It’s a big step and I knew it would be part of my life at some point. But I also think I could have had a happy life without offspring,” says the actress on the “NDR Talk Show”. The reason for this assumption is quite logical: “Because I didn’t know any better either.” For a year now she has known how fulfilling it is to be a mother and therefore does not want to be without it anymore. “Now I’m so glad I have him and I love him madly.”

“A lot of fun, but also exhausting”

Despite her new role, Stephanie has never completely retired from her job. Maternity Protection? Not for the actress. Shortly after the birth, her little husband was on the film set. Time management was extremely important, she revealed in an interview with the news agency “Spot On News”. It has remained so to this day, because it is important to her not to have to give up her “old life”. At least insofar as it is possible. “I decided to keep as much of my old life as possible and to integrate the new. That’s why he’s always there when we’re filming,” explains the 38-year-old on NDR. All in all, things are going well with her baby and the job, but there are also challenging moments for her: “Being a family is also a lot of fun, but it’s also very exhausting.”
