In a press release released today, Wael Amr wanted to give some news from Frogwares, while the DLC M For Mystery has just been released on consoles and PC. Frogwares has therefore managed to remain partially in business, thanks to the work of some of its employees who have remained in safety, in Ukraine or in other countries of the European Union. We reproduce here, VerbatimWael Amr’s press release explaining the situation:
” No one on the team is expected to work, only those who can and want to. Some team members have become full-time volunteers for humanitarian efforts in the country. Others joined the defense forces. The rest are in various safer locations overseas or in-country and have made themselves available to work remotely.
And we continue to pay all of these team members. For those who fight or volunteer, each of their places in the team will be waiting for them at the end of the war. But it is mainly thanks to a set of employees who have fled Ukraine to neighboring EU countries and those who have relocated to safer areas that Frogwares can continue to operate at this time. .
We are an independent studio, with no outside funding, investors or parent company to keep us afloat. It is therefore up to us alone and thanks to the support of our players who want to play our games that this studio will remain alive.
And as this war drags on longer and longer, we, and people all around Ukraine, see that even if they are not directly involved in the fighting, they somehow have to continue. to get things done. So that when this is all over and it’s time to rebuild and restart, we won’t be starting from scratch. »
