The electric city car Citroën ë-C3 has hit hard with its bonus price deducted from only €19,300 at the entry level and its availability within social leasing. However, the electric version of the new C3 has still not started its deliveries, although it was due to be delivered from the second quarter of 2024.
Another piece of news may disappoint future drivers of the ë-C3 in the entry-level You trim. Customers who ordered their model after September 2 will receive a reduced equipment package. This is what we learn from the information on the site Passionately Citroën (article subsequently deleted), since confirmed at Caradisiac by Citroën. They correspond to the latest prices published by the brand.
Several features sacrificed on the entry-level model
The entry-level You finish has thus lost its LED headlights, replaced by halogen lights, its passenger-side vanity mirror and its electric parking brake, which gives way to the handbrake of the thermal version. The door handles and side air vents have changed to matte black, instead of the glossy black initially planned. Finally, the tires have also changed, without it being known which reference will equip the ë-C3 You. We only know that it gives it a range that is 14 km lower than the 326 km initially announced.
These developments reinforce the appeal of the intermediate You + Plus pack finish, still displayed at the price of €21,500 bonus deducted, and whose standard equipment does not seem to have changed.
This reduction in the standard equipment of the ë-C3 could have been motivated by a search for profitability, or to accelerate the production of the model. Moreover, this decision seems to have been decided urgently since the Citroën website has not even been updated a week after its implementation. We have contacted the brand for more details on the subject and will update this article if we receive a response.
