The British music legend Sting has announced that a new album will be released in a few weeks.

Sting (69) will release his new album “The Bridge” in November. The musician announced this on September 1st. “If It’s Love”, the first single from the fresh record, has already appeared. The new song also premiered on British radio.

“We need a bridge”

Sting wrote and recorded the album over the past year during the lockdown. The songs should follow a message on the musician’s homepage picking up different phases and styles from his long career. According to Sting, the songs are located between different places, states of mind, relationships, pandemics, periods of time and between life and death. “We need a bridge” that connects people, explains Sting.

The album should then be released on November 19th. Depending on the version, the record will contain between ten and 14 songs. There are ten songs on the standard album, a deluxe version contains 13 tracks and one song is available exclusively on a Japanese version.
