The disturbing phenomenon is gaining momentum. In the Dordogne, two men filed a complaint, considering themselves victims of stings in night establishments in Périgueux and an investigation for “administration of harmful substances has been opened“, Indicates this Sunday the parquet floor. Aged 18 and 24, they claim to have been “stung” during an outing to a club in the city on Saturday April 9, according to the public prosecutor of Périgueux.
The two men, who did not feel any injections during the evening, felt “very tired” the night and the following days. After “suggestions” coming from friends informed of similar cases publicized elsewhere in France, they discovered two traces of bites on the thigh for one and the abdomen for the other, deciding them to file a complaint three days after the facts.
As in most previous cases, no trace of narcotics was found during the first toxicological analyses. The Périgueux prosecutor’s office, however, calls people suspecting injections during an evening “to go immediately to the nearest hospital center” and to “not to give in to psychosis while remaining vigilant”.
Traces of GHB in Grenoble
Similar cases of bites were reported this Saturday during concerts at the Printemps de Bourges, in the Cher. According to France Bleu, confirming information from Berry Républicain, an investigation is underway to shed light on traces of bites found on four people. The victims were quickly taken care of by civil protection and then put in contact with the police to file a complaint and take blood samples. Analyzes are still in progress.
While the festival is held until Sunday evening, the management announced that it had reinforced its security system, deploying personnel to monitor the areas that welcome the most people. She also called for the collective vigilance of the participants.
A single investigation in France has so far found traces of narcotics, as revealed by France Bleu Isère. In Grenoble, a young man, who had found a bruise with a red dot on the back of his knee in mid-April after a night out, later discovered that he had been drugged with GHB, also called “drug of the rapist”. No complainant, however, reported assaults in parallel with the famous bites.
