Stock market day: Wall Street pushes Nikkei

The Japanese stock exchange gained traction on Wall Street on Friday. The increase was limited, however, by the weaker semiconductor stocks, which were dragged down by Intel stocks, which fell after trading hours. The world's largest chip manufacturer had disappointed the markets with its proceeds. The group suffered in particular from the declining business with data centers. The Nikkei index, which comprises 225 values, was 0.2 percent higher at 23,524 points.
