PARIS, January 19 (Reuters) – The stocks to follow on Wednesday on the Paris Stock Exchange and in Europe:

* STELLANTIS SLTA.PA STLA.MI – The group’s managing director, Carlos Tavares, wants to avoid plant closures in Europe but warns of the impact of the electrification of the automotive sector on the group’s competitiveness, a-t- he said in an interview published Tuesday on the Les Echos website. nL8N2TY5H8

* ASML HOLDING ASML.AS – The Dutch semiconductor manufacturing equipment group published quarterly net profit of 1.77 billion euros on Wednesday, better than expected, and said it expects 2022 to grow by 20% from its turnover.

* COMPAGNIE FINANCIÈRE RICHEMONT CFR.S published a turnover increase of 32% for the quarter to the end of December and higher by 38% than that of the same period of 2019, before the pandemic.

* BHP GROUP BHPB.L BHP.AX reported a 5% increase in iron ore production in the second quarter of its fiscal year.

* EDF EDF.PA – JP Morgan lowered its recommendation to “underweight” against “overweight” and reduced its price target from 14 to 7.60 euros.

* SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC SCHN.PA – RBC lowered its recommendation to “sector performance” against “outperformance” while raising its price target from 150 to 175 euros.

* SAFRAN SAF.PA – Morgan Stanley raised its recommendation to “online weighting” against “underweight” and raised its target price to 109 euros.
