Stock market: The German Dax index hits a new peak!

PARIS, May 19 (Reuters) – The Frankfurt Stock Exchange’s Dax index hit a new all-time high on Friday, benefiting from the general rise in global equities on hopes of an agreement in the United States on raising the federal debt ceiling.

The main German index reached a high of 16,293.68 points, surpassing a previous record dating from November 2021, at 16,290.19. (Laetitia Volga, edited by Jean-Stéphane Brosse)
