Stocks to follow on Wall Street (updated)

PARIS, June 18 (Reuters) –

Main stocks to follow Tuesday on Wall Street, where futures on the main indices suggest a lower opening.

* In pre-market trading, APPLE, MICROSOFT and ALPHABET gain from 0.1% to 0.7%, while semiconductor manufacturers BROADCOM, MICRON and ARM HOLDINGS gain from 0.5% to 2.7%, which should support the Nasdaq which set a sixth consecutive closing record on Monday.

* BOEING – The group’s general manager, Dave Calhoun, appears this Tuesday before the permanent investigation subcommittee of the US Senate regarding the aircraft manufacturer’s safety policy as well as new complaints.

* TESLA – Elon Musk announced to group employees on Monday that the electric vehicle manufacturer was working on stock compensation for the best performing employees, according to two sources who consulted an internal memo.

* The cryptoasset groups RIOT PLATFORMS, MARATHON DIGITAL, HUT 8 and BIT DIGITAL fell from 1.4% to 1.8% while bitcoin fell to a one-month low, at $65,573.

* A consortium composed of the American investment fund KKR and Singapore Telecommunications will invest 1.75 billion Singapore dollars (1.21 billion euros) in ST Telemedia Global Data Centers, one of the largest data center providers of Asia, the parties concerned announced on Tuesday.

* MERCK announced Monday that the Food and Drug Administration, the health authority in the United States, had approved its new generation pneumococcal vaccine in adults.

* BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY, Warren Buffett’s group, acquired 2.95 million additional shares of Occidental Petroleum, bringing its stake in the American oil producer to nearly 29%. Occidental Petroleum takes 0.8% in pre-market trading.

* EXXON MOBIL – An American judge on Monday rejected the complaint filed by Exxon Mobil against the activist group Arjuna Capital, the latter having renounced “unconditionally and irrevocably” to submit a proposal on the greenhouse gas emissions of the oil tanker.

* SNAP – The owner of Snapchat on Tuesday launched a new version of its generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology that will allow users to benefit from more realistic special effects when they use their phone cameras to film themselves. The group hopes with this innovation to stay one step ahead of its competitors.

* LENNAR fell 3.4% in pre-market trading, the American housing manufacturer having announced Monday evening that it anticipates deliveries in the third quarter lower than analysts’ expectations, a sign that demand for new housing should remain weak while real estate rates are to 20-year highs.
