Stolen footage shows iconic scene

Season 2 of The Last of Us has started filming and is already the victim of a new leak. A major scene from the TLOU 2 game is confirmed through this preview.

Pedro Pascal is released from Gladiator 2 and was therefore finally able to join the set of The Last of Us season 2. And it was about time, even if we now know that the series will not return before 2025 on HBO Max. Filming began in British Columbia, a province in western Canada, and it didn’t really go unnoticed. Particularly because the teams have taken out the means to recreate the town of Jackson with their own sets. And as is often the case, it attracted some curious people who took out their smartphones.

Another leak for season 2 of the series The Last of Us

The series The Last of Us has already had the right to stolen images and it is through this that we were able to see the town of Jackson recreated from scratch. An investment which will be used in part to reproduce a key scene in the relationship between Joel and Ellie from the second game. This isn’t the biggest spoiler of all time, but if you haven’t touched TLOU 2, move on now!!!

Since the end of The Last of Us and Joel’s lie to Ellie, the surrogate father-daughter relationship has deteriorated between the two characters. And one sequence particularly emphasizes this, it is that of the ball where the young woman dances with her girlfriend Dina. A suspended moment for the couple, but which is interrupted by a resident not really thrilled by what he sees. Joel intervenes to defend Ellie at all costs, but the latter does not appreciate the man’s protective gesture and pushes him away. A direct consequence of the lie from the previous adventure which allowed the young woman to be saved.

As we can see in the video below, this prom scene between Ellie and Dina will be in season 2 of the TLOU series. But could it be otherwise given the symbolism of this sequence? Not really. Beyond this passage, it is quite possible that all the moments in Jackson will be extended with pieces cut from The Last of Us 2.
