Storage space in the bathroom: 13 tricks for more space

In small bathrooms, one often faces the problem of not having enough storage space. We'll show you 13 ideas and tricks with which towels and the like can be elegantly stowed away!

Too narrow, too small and no space – these characteristics certainly apply to some bathrooms. That might fit in with the micro living trend, but we still need some utensils in the bathroom. The size can usually not be changed, but the use! We will present you with suitable solutions for more storage space in the bathroom. And not all of them need manual skills and a drill!

More storage space in the bathroom – without drilling

Vanity unit

The most obvious option is to use the space under the sink. Base units are available in different depths and heights and create storage space for towels, care products and the like in no time at all.

A hanging base cabinet does not optically take up as much space – but then does not offer as much storage space as a standing cabinet that uses the entire surface.

Towel ladder

If the bathroom is very small, there is often hardly any space for several or even large cabinets. But your towels also look good on a towel ladder!

Hanging baskets

Shower stalls can also be tight – the storage space factor is zero. Small but great solution: hanging baskets! You can hang them on the shower rail or the cabin and from now on you don't have to bend over to get your shampoo!

Wall organizer

Wall organizers are super practical (not only in the bathroom, by the way …), which usually stay where they should with a nail in the wall. They make lotions, brushes and lipsticks easy peasy to disappear into their core.

Telescopic shelf above the toilet

A height-adjustable telescopic shelf is stretched between the ceiling and the floor, and the drill can safely remain in the tool case. The baskets and storage areas now populate towels, straightening irons and bath salts (tip: this is how you can make bath salts yourself).

Tip: A telescopic shelf also fits perfectly over a washing machine!

Most probably know her from the kitchen! But pull-out pharmacy cabinets are also ideal for small bathrooms. They fit into narrow niches or can be integrated into the furniture and save a lot of space.

Corner shelves

A corner shelf by the shower cubicle, by the bathtub or elsewhere in the room makes ideal use of the available space without making the room appear cluttered. Maybe even a plant will grow on it ?!

Niche shelves

Every spot, no matter how small, is used! Here, tailor-made solutions are the best choice, for example matching cabinets for the sloping roof or niches in the wall!

Design your own bathroom

You have more in the condominium or in your own house Freedom of design. A renovation or a conversion costs accordingly, the bathroom size cannot necessarily be changed in the property, but it can be used better.
