Coming to all platforms, this exciting new scenario challenges players to assemble a crew of 6, who will be dropped into an uncharted location, far from the civilized galaxy. Their mission? Establish themselves in their new hostile environment in order to build an Ansible relay and enable interstellar communications.
Throughout the storyline, players must prepare and protect their team of adventurers, soldiers and scientists, in order to defend the base against the threat of an increasingly hostile alien fauna. A new survivor, Ember Griffin, will bring his extensive military experience to the group as a tactical commander, ideal for keeping the base safe while the Ansible Relay builds and attempts to establish a connection.
The Military Outpost storyline also brings new research options, including two types of mechs that, when crafted, will maximize the party’s combat abilities and add force fields for increased base protection. All of these options will be available in all scenarios.
At the same time, players can now exploit new technologies to improve the availability of resources. Research on fabrication matrices is now possible and even essential to the construction of new fabrication devices capable of transforming energy into physical matter. The Foodcrafter uses energy to create meals without ingredients, while the Materials Fabricator can create raw materials such as wood, stone, metal alloys, liquid fuel, and silicon.
