After the new success of “Running Up That Hill” by Kate Bush, the series “Stranger Things” brings back to light “Master of Puppets” by Metallica. In return, the band played the song again in perfect sync with the stage.

Metallica has never disappeared from the media scene and even continues to fill stadiums around the world. However, thanks to Stranger Things, the group is experiencing a new popularity with young audiences. One of the standout sequences of Season 4 shows one of the characters, Eddie (Joseph Quinn), picking up an electric guitar and playing the track. Master of Puppets to lure Demobats into the Upside Down.

Visually, the scene is impressive and constitutes one of the most rock’n’roll moments of the series. Result: the song – released in 1986! – broke into the top charts. Like Kate Bush, after the explosion of her already iconic title Running Up That Hillthe heavy metal band wanted to thank the creators of Stranger Things.

On the TikTok account of Metallica, the musicians – all dressed in a Hellfire Club t-shirt – even replayed the title in perfect synchronization with the scene of the series. “Eddie…this is for you”, writes the group. A funny wink for their fans, but also those of the series. The video has already been viewed by more than eight million Internet users.

And if ever some doubted it, joseph quinn actually rehearsed the track for filming purposes. The actor, who has been playing the instrument since he was young, was filmed by Matt and Ross Duffer, the creators of the series, during one of his rehearsals:

If the interpreter did not need a double on the screen, it was neither he who played the piece for the needs of the program, nor Metallica. This is a cover of Ty Trujillo, who is none other than the son of the legendary band’s bassist, Robert Trujillo. A family affair then.
