Stranger Things: Eleven will be 10 years old in scenes from season 4

A few days before the return of Stranger Things on Netflix, we learn more about season 4 and the past of Eleven. The trailer for part 1 does indeed show footage of 10-year-old Eleven. Explanations.

Expected for 3 years, season 4 of Stranger Things will finally return to Netflix on May 27 with the first part. At the end of Season 3, after the epic battle in the Starcourt Mall, the small group of friends broke up. Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) has decided to take her children Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), Will (Noah Schnapp) and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) away from Hawkins.

As for Jim Hopper (David Harbour), Hawkins’ chief of police, he was left for dead when he sacrificed himself to destroy the machine and save Joyce. At the end of the season, it was unknown if he was actually dead. Six months later, Season 4 picks up where the story left off.

Eleven’s past

Part of the gang therefore remained at Hawkins – including Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Max (Sadie Sink), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Steve (Joe Keery), Robin ( Maya Hawke) — and all of them are trying to find their footing in high school hell.

But the pangs of adolescence are not the only threat lurking. A new evil lurks in Hawkins, which arrives in tandem with a new mystery that, if solved, could finally eliminate the threat of the Upside Down once and for all.

In an interview given to Collider in June 2021, Millie Bobby Brown dropped some info on Eleven and what season 4 will reveal about her past. Indeed, the first images of the season showed Eleven when she was younger in the laboratory where she was a guinea pig.

Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) visibly pissed off

It’s an aspect of my story that I can’t talk about because it’s crucial. But what I can say is that when I was 10 in season 1, those scenes were extremely difficult for me, but his story, his childhood was not central.

There were still so many questions for me and the viewers. But the Duffer brothers [Matt et Ross Duffer, ndlr] are very good at exploring each character’s past, and of course you’ll be able to see that this season.

This question was already addressed in season 2 when Eleven left to investigate her origins and discovered the identity of her biological mother, Terry Ives. But there are still many gray areas to explore.
