Netflix has announced four new actors for the upcoming “Stranger Things” season. One character plays a particularly important role.

The well-known actors in the streaming series “Stranger Things” will be joined by new faces in the coming episodes. Netflix has presented four actorswho will join the cast: Amybeth McNulty, 19, Myles Truitt, 19, Grace Van Dien, 24, and Regina Ting Chen.

As previously announced, there will be other new actors in addition to returning stars such as the kids Millie Bobby Brown (17), Gaten Matarazzo (18), Finn Wolfhard (18), Caleb McLaughlin (19), Noah Schnapp (16) and Sadie Sink (19) can be seen. Among them are the German “Game of Thrones” star Tom Wlaschiha (47) and horror legend Robert Englund (74), known among other things as Freddy Krueger from the “A Nightmare on Elm Street” series.

What new characters are there?

McNulty will play a character named Vickie, who one of the main characters seems to fall in love with. Meanwhile, Truitt gives the young basketball player Patrick, whose life is thrown off course after “shocking events”. Regina Ting Chen will slip into the role of the popular trust teacher Ms. Kelly and Van Dien will play cheerleader Chrissy, who is the most popular girl at the school but also hides a dark secret.

The Duffer brothers, the minds behind the series, also report in a short video speak out and apologize for the fact that it is taking so long for the fourth season to appear. Everyone on the set works “really, really hard” and so they can’t wait for the fans to finally see the new episodes. They also reveal that Vickie will play a very important role in the coming season.

The streaming service does not want to reveal exactly when it will continue. Last August, however, at least the Duffer brothers had in conversation with the industry magazine “The Hollywood Reporter” already confirmed that season four won’t be the last. “Season four will not be the end,” said Ross Duffer (37).
