While Season 4 of Strangers Things airs in two parts, some fans imagined that Netflix would switch to a one-episode-a-week mode for the fifth and final season. The platform indicates that this will not be the case.
Season 4 of Stranger Things is a real box, since it signs the best start in the history of Netflix. This season is airing in two parts, since the last episodes will be available 1er next July. A way to maintain the hype and keep subscribers longer.
Faced with this success, one wonders if Netflix is not going to completely upset its habits for the fifth and final season by airing only one episode per week. After all, Disney+ does it well and other platforms, like Prime Video, have gotten into it. For example, The Boys series adopts this temporality and this will also be the case for Rings of Power.
Netflix will keep streaming Stranger Things all of a sudden
Peter Friedlander, head of distribution of Netflix series in North America, however, put an end to all the rumors in the columns of Variety. Nope, Stranger Things will not adopt a weekly broadcast mode:
“That’s how Stranger Things fans love their show and to change that would be disappointing. Not giving them what they want – Stranger Things is a condensed experience spanning an entire season – would be too abrupt a change. »
He then adds that he does not see the point of distributing content on a dime:
“We firmly believe that we must give our subscribers the choice to watch their series as they see fit. Giving them the choice to watch these series all at once or more slowly is part of the core experience we want to deliver.”

Do not panic, therefore, it will always be possible to binge Stranger Things in the future ! On the other hand, season 5, which will mark the end of the adventure, will not arrive for a while. We recall that three years passed between season 3 (2019) and this last burst of episodes.
