With “Stranger Things: The First Shadow,” the Netflix series is also conquering the theater world this year. Now Netflix is giving a first look at the piece.
- Stranger Things: The First Shadow premieres at London’s Phoenix Theater on November 17th.
- The play is about the creation of the shadow world by Henry Creel alias Vecna.
- A video provides initial insights and information about ticket sales.
Despite Stranger Things Day, you have to do without a trailer for the 5th season of Stranger Things today. You’ll soon be able to see the history of the hit Netflix series away from the television. The play “Stranger Things: The First Shadow” tells how the connection between Hawkins and the shadow world came about.
The story takes place in 1959 and revolves around the Creel family and their son Henry, later better known as the villain Vecna. But other, already well-known figures are also illuminated in their youth. Like Will’s mother Joyce, Bob Newby and Jim Hopper. Like the series, the play is by Matt and Ross Duffer, who teamed up with writers Jack Thorne and Kate Trefry. They reveal what awaits you in terms of content and visuals in a short video.
Everyone involved speaks of a special experience and is looking forward to bringing the Stranger Things universe to the stage. A visit to the theater will be interesting not only because of the story, but also because of the effects. Unfortunately, a lot of them in the video are still kept under wraps.
If you don’t want to miss “Stranger Things: The First Shadow”, you can already buy tickets. Prices range from 20 to 75 British pounds. As expected, the premiere on November 17th is already sold out. If you want to see the piece this year, you shouldn’t waste much time. But don’t panic, “Stranger Things: The First Shadow” will remain at the Phoenix Theater in London’s West End until August 25, 2024.
