Highly anticipated, season 5 of “Stranger Things” continues to get people talking. Recently, a rumor has been circulating about the use of Artificial Intelligence to rejuvenate actors. Producer Shawn Levy denies this.
Postponed due to the writers’ strike – now over – and that of the actors, which is still continuing, season 5 of Stranger Things is not ready to hit our screens. In any case, not before the end of 2025. The young actors continue to grow, which could pose connection problems for the plot. The latter should, normally, take place directly after the end of season 4.
In recent statements, producer Shawn Levy explained that production would do everything possible to ensure that the aging of the stars of the series was as little visible as possible. Since then, the reported comments have been somewhat transformed and some rumors are talking about artificial intelligence to rejuvenate the casting. But what is it really?
Shawn Levy – who also directed two episodes of season 4 – clarified that no technology will make the actors younger. “II was surprised that a sentence I said on this subject circulated so muchhe explains for Deadline. It’s important to remember that we know what we’re doing with this series. Our cast is brilliant. The characters that the Duffer brothers created are so vivid. I have no doubt that everyone will be able to get back in place to bring them back to life.”
Three years after the end of filming for season 4, that of season 5 is therefore still on hold. Even if the actors’ strike ends soon, it will take some time for production to give the green light. Shawn Levy says the entire team “chomping at the bit” to the idea of returning to service: “What people need to remember is that we, who make the show, are fans too. And you can believe me that we don’t want to miss each other.”
