Stray Gods, the musical with a three-star cast takes a date

Originally advertised and funded on Fig as Chorus, Stray Gods takes place in a world similar to ours, except that the Greek gods hide in society. When her friend Calliope dies, the fate of the protagonist Grace will change. The young woman who had just abandoned her studies inherited the power of the deceased muse, a power based on musical persuasion which she will need to prove her innocence and discover the truth about the circumstances of this all but natural death. During this hand-illustrated narrative adventure, the player will be able to influence Grace’s choices and relationships, whether friendly, antagonistic or romantic (Grace will have no less than four suitors at her fingertips). Also impacting the construction of the songs, the choice and consequence system draws its DNA from role-playing games and will allow each game to play out differently, we are told.

The cruise its muse

Written by David Gaider, a former Dragon Age veteran known for his inclusive characters, Stray Gods also benefits from the services of the prolific composer Austin Wintory, author of the original and interactive songs of the game with the help of the musicians of Tripod (Scott Edgar, Steven Gates and Simon Hall) and the Australian star Montaigne (Jessica Cerro) passed by the Eurovision 2021. And to push the song, Summerfall Studios has brought together renowned voice actors and actresses. Grace is portrayed by Laura Bailey, Calliope by Ashley Johnson, Apollo by Troy Baker, Persephone by Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, Aphrodite by Merle Dandrige and Athena by Felicia Day. In short, a collective interminabe of references including The Last of Us, Uncharted, Silent Hill and so many other major projects. Too bad there weren’t a few tickets left to order a localization, the game being announced only in English, which we can understand for the dubbing, less for the texts.
