Stray named best video game at the Pégases 2023

The Pégases are to video games what the Molières are to the theatrical scene: a Franco-French ceremony intended to highlight national creation. Founded by the National Video Game Syndicate (SNJV) in 2020, this event has rewarded titles as diverse as Dead Cells, Microsoft Flight Simulator (developed by Asobo studio) or death loop. The fourth edition was held yesterday, March 9, 2023, at La Cigale in Paris.

The cat of stray takes the lion’s share

After death loop in 2022, stray received the highest distinction before A Plague Tale: Requiem And Sifu. And we have to believe that the large jury (2000 voters) of the Academy of Video Game Arts and Techniques is suffering from ailurophilia – or, less sympathetically, from toxoplasmosis – since it awarded him the prizes for best French video game , Best Indie Game and Best First Video Game.

Direct continuation of A Plague Tale: Innocencehonored at the first Pegasus ceremony in 2020, A Plague Tale: Requiem received the Pégases for visual excellence, the best sound universe, narrative excellence, without forgetting the Pégase from the public.

Because video games are not just a tricolor preserve, some Pegasus have been distributed to foreign games. In the category of the best foreign title, the winner is Elden Ringbefore Tunic And God of War Ragnarok. But the fox Tunic did not leave empty-handed in Canada since it gleaned the prize for the best foreign independent game.
