Stray Souls: Akira Yamaoka announced to music, a new trailer to celebrate

Jukai Studio And Versus Evil will launch soon Stray Souls, a third-person psychological horror game. The title will depict Daniela teenager who inherits his grandmother’s house and meets Marthaan enigmatic woman who seems to know a lot about the secrets of this house.

Stray Souls was already promising, but it is even more so with today’s announcement: Akira Yamaoka has composed new music for the survival horror. The composer of the soundtracks of silent Hill, Shadow of the Damned, Lollipop Chainsaw and more recently The Medium And Decarnation brought out his instruments to create the music Splintered Mind, which can be partially heard in the new trailer above. Artur Łączkowski, game director and founder of Jukai Studioadds:

It’s no secret that we’re huge fans of Silent Hill, so to be able to bring series composer Akira Yamaoka on board for our game is a dream come true! Yamaoka’s work was so essential in creating the tone and mood of Silent Hill, so we’re beyond thrilled to see him enhance our vision with his legendary soundscapes. There really is no one quite like him and we are so honored to have him as our creative collaborator!

Stray Souls will use technology Metahuman and the game engine Unreal Engine 5 for more realism. The title will include elements of Japanese folklore, and a system will place enemies, objects and paranormal activities randomly so that each game is unique. Stray Souls will be available later this fall on pc, playstation and Xbox Series X|S.
