Best launch of Annapurna Interactive, Stray is, since its release a few days ago, an international success. The game allowing players to embody a little ginger cat has wowed the world, and exploded the scores of Twitch and Steam this week.
The game therefore traces the adventures of a stray cat (Stray cat), who, following a fall in an unknown place, is trying to find her way back. His epic will not be easy but fortunately our little feline will be accompanied by B-12a drone that is in his small backpack, which will guide and accompany him.
But while the story of this lost feline, separated from his friends, is more than touching, this is the case with thousands of stray cats in real life, who are helped by associations allowing them to have a better life. In order to support these everyday heroes, the French developers of the game (BlueTwelve Studios) as well as Annapurna Interactive have done a remarkable good deed.
A touching initiative
It is with the aim of helping cats collected in shelters that the developers as well as the editors of Stray wished to set up this partnership with Nebraska Humane Cats, Cat Protection and other associations dedicated to the protection of small felines.
People who show charity towards these associations will be able to try to win a free copy of Stray ! Enough to do a good deed before you can fully enjoy the game.
Everything is connected
This initiative is only good, and on top of that, it is directly related to the protagonist of Straybut also the real-life cat that inspired its creation.
In the game from BlueTwelve studios, the main protagonist is a stray cat, who has lost its way and is trying to find it. A situation that is reminiscent of cats in shelters, who found themselves alone, before receiving help from associations.
Also, the cat that inspired Stray’s cat is called Murtaugh, and was himself an abandoned cat. When his owners found him, he was very weak and was hiding under cars in search of some warmth.
It is therefore quite natural that BlueTwelve and Annapurna Interactive studios wanted to pay tribute to their cats who fought alone in the wild, and who today deserve to find lots of love!
