March is here and the Oscars 2022 are fast approaching. This year, 10 films were nominated in the “Best Film” category. By doing so, the Academy hoped to give audience favorites like “Spider-Man: No Way Home” a better chance, otherwise largely ignored by the Academy. The end of the song: “No Way Home” was still empty, the biggest blockbuster among the nominees is “Dune”.
“Licorice Pizza”, on the other hand, can hardly be described as a blockbuster, but many film fans have been eagerly awaiting the new film by Paul Thomas Anderson (“Magnolia”, “Boogie Nights”) for months. The coming-of-age story with Alana Haim and Cooper Hoffman, the son of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman, was able to inspire international critics, but has only been shown in a few cinemas since it started in Germany on January 27, 2022.
Anyone who thinks that after Pizza Hawaii and the chocolate pizza from Dr. Oetker, a liquorice pizza is only a matter of time, could be right – but the film title means something else. “Licorice Pizza” is a slang term for vinyl records shaped and colored to resemble a licorice pizza.
If you can’t find a suitable performance in your own city, prefer to see the film in English anyway, or prefer to stream “Licorice Pizza” for other reasons, you now have the opportunity to do so. Netzwelt reveals what you have to do for it!

Since March 1st you can buy “Licorice Pizza” digitally in the US offer of iTunes. It will charge you $19.99, but you can watch the film over and over again.
If you have a little patience, you can also rent the film from March 15, 2022 and thus save money, probably USD 5.99 will then be due. A VPN service is not necessary for this, so theoretically you can simply stream “Licorice Pizza” on your Apple TV app on the Smart TV. A US Apple account and a little credit so that you can also rent or buy the film are mandatory.
