  • Servus TV is no longer broadcast in Germany. The station can only be received in Austria.
  • The Servus TV On media library is still accessible in this country and is constantly being expanded with new content.
  • Servus TV On can be used free of charge via web browsers, smart TVs, game consoles and via an app on mobile devices.

Whether handball, winter sports, nature documentaries or the political talk “Klartext”: The Austrian television station Servus TV has been bundling its numerous content in the streaming service ServusTV On since 2022. This will continue even after broadcasting ceases in Germany and can be received via numerous channels.

Apps are available, for example, for iOS and Android devices as well as Apple TV, Roku sticks and televisions as well as Amazon Fire TV. According to the provider, Servus TV On can also be used via app on devices with Google TV. Just like on the Xbox Series X, Series S and Xbox One. You can also find the app on smart TVs from Samsung, HiSense and Vestel. However, the provider does not disclose exactly which models.

No registration required, no costs

If there is no app available for your device, you can also use it via the browser. You don’t need an account; the platform is also completely free to use. But you have to live with advertisements. On Servus TV On you will find six so-called On channels on which you can watch various content in an endless loop – such as nature documentaries.

Sports fans will also find all the live streams planned for the month bundled in one category. Servus TV still holds the rights to broadcast numerous sports and tournaments in Germany. Of course, you can also target individual shipments.

Some content can only be accessed via VPN

Current news programs can also be accessed via the platform, but these come from Servus TV Austria and therefore have a regional flavor. Please also note that some content is not available in this country for licensing reasons – such as the Formula 1 races, which Servus TV only holds the rights to broadcast in Austria. This country ban can be circumvented using a trick, but legally you are in a gray area.

Tip: If you want to continue receiving Servus TV content without an app or browser, you should switch on the new channel DF1. This has taken over numerous popular formats from Servus TV.
