Simple, concise and effective. Capcom issued a maximum information about Street Fighter 6, in minimum time. Of course, it’s impossible to have many details, but the hype has never been greater. The game promises to send very heavy, and seems more ambitious than ever to renew the Street Fighter experience, at least in solo mode. Between inspiration on what works on other licensesand new noveltieswith a good dose of fan servicethe Japanese publisher has put the small dishes in large. As always, it’s too early to give a definitive opinion on the game, especially without having had it in hand, but we can’t say that Capcom is lazy on it (afterwards, it can be ambitious and useless, but for now , the trailers are promising).
The cast of Street Fighter 2 always well represented!
If the four fighters revealed come as no surprisehaving all been present in the leaks with the same costumes as those presented today (yet different from the previous opuses), it is interesting to note that three of the four characters debuted in Street Fighter 2. We could even count Ken, because the latter although present in Street Fighter, did not really participate in the story, being only there to be the character of player 2 who was a clone of Ryu. The Master Yogi returns, and seems keep the majority of his shotseven though some variations are also reminiscent of previous games. Although it should still be strong at long range, it seems to have options to play more aggressivelyquite reminiscent of its Street V gameplay.
E.Honda
The sumo rider offered himself a new look, which pays even more homage to his passion. Just like Dhalsim, there is no novelties that jumped out at us in his gameplay, even if the editor is far from being an expert on this character, and that certain things could have escaped his vigilance.
Ken Masters
New look for Ken, who seems to be going through a tough time financially. But more than her new look, it’s new moves that caught our attention. His fighting style seems more and more rely on kickswith new moves including one rekka potential* (-> special move that can have different consequences, forcing the opponent to guess whether something will follow the first attack or not, and what variation it will be). This will accentuate the offensive side of Ken, where Ryu is more oriented towards counter-attacks.
*This is what seems to have been shown, however we will have to wait to see a little more to be sure that it is indeed a rekka.
blanka
The character The kindest (non-negotiable, impossible to hate Blanka) from the cast has a new feature. If you did his story mode in Street V, you might remember the Blanka Chan, these stuffed animals with his effigy that he tries to sell with relative success. Story mode and custom avatar
