While it has just exceeded 4 million sales worldwide, Street Fighter 6 was as expected welcomed at the start of the week the second playable character of its Year 2 of content, the one and only Terry Bogardstraight from the universe of SNK. He was preceded by Mr. Bison in June and did not arrive empty-handed. In fact, the developers from Capcom have introduced for free two new features, the V-Rival and the Replay Reviewused for training. All this was exhibited in a trailer for the occasion.
Below you will find details of all the new features that have been introduced in Street Fighter 6.
Terry takes to the streets !
Players can access Terry in all three game modes:
- World Tour – Players can visit Terry, the new Master, to learn his moves and strengthen their bond with him by completing missions and giving him gifts. Once they have fulfilled two conditions, becoming Ryu’s apprentice and successfully completing the mission in Chapter 11-4, a “One Fateful Day” menu will be added to the World Tour menu. This menu will take them in Metro City, alongside Terry, where a 3-on-3 fight called “Knock Out Festival” (or KOF for short) takes place in which players can participate.
- Battle Hub – Players can bring the new moves and emotes they learned from Terry into World Tour and use them in style!
- Fighting Ground – Players can perform Terry’s legendary Special Moves and Super Arts as they battle against friends, family, and enemies around the world!
Terry’s Costume 2 is also available for purchase or to unlock through the World Tour. It consists of his brown jacket and jeans from City of the Wolves, the next opus of the Fatal Fury series scheduled for 2025!
The legendary Pao Pao Café 6 is also available as a new stage from Street Fighter 6, full of SNK references.
Players can unlock Terry through the Year 2 Character Pass or the Year 2 Ultimate Pass, or by purchasing Terry individually for 350 Fighters Coins (including his Costume 1 with colors 1 and 2). Year 2 Ultimate Pass owners will automatically unlock Pao Pao Café 6. It can also be purchased individually for 250 Fighting Coins or 5,000 Drive Tickets.
Train to be the best !
Two innovative new features, V-Rival and Replay Review, will provide players with valuable training resources:
- V-Rival – An all-new mode in which players can fight against an AI opponent, generated by ranked match data from millions of players. The AI player can be set to any rank and character, encouraging players to practice against particular opponents without the pressure of a real ranked match. Players will receive advice from Li Fen after each match and will also have the opportunity to receive rewards such as stickers and titles as they train!
- Replay Review – New features are added to replays, including the ability to take control of either player at any time during an offline or online replay. A player would like to see what a perfect parry would have unlocked at a given time? Did he miss a combo? Is it curious to discover a completely different strategy? He is invited to take control (Replay menu -> Switch to player control) and see for himself! Among other improvements, the frame counter can now be displayed during replays, the replay speed can be changed, and moving frames forward or backward can be done by entering a direction.
