Street Fighter: a large production company recovers the rights of adaptation in films and series

Between the very kitsch FutureCops hong kongers of 1993, the nanar Street Fighter – The Ultimate Fight from 1994, the forgettable Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li of 2009 and animated projects which did not mark the spirits, the fighting games of Capcom do not yet have their reference adaptation. There may be new attempts in the years to come, as a large production company has just recovered the rights for the cinema and televisionwhich were obviously no longer held by anyone other than Capcom himself.

It is Legendary Picturesto whom we owe Dunes, Godzilla, The Dark Knightbut also Warcraft: The Beginning, Detective Pikachu and soon the live-action Gundam For netflix. The company will work closely with Capcom to develop new film or series projects : as to whether we will have a feature film of the caliber ofUnchartedfrom the Serie live action way The Last of Us or animation on SVOD as Tekken: BloodlineOnly the future will tell us.

The franchise will in any case quickly return to the front of the stage with the release of street fighter 6 this June 2: you can pre-order your copy from €49.99 on Amazon.co.uk.
