Stress: three simple tips to reduce your daily anxiety

Are you feeling increasingly anxious and stressed? “Bienfait pour vous” received Benjamin Lubszynski on the occasion of the release of his book “Being Zen, it can be learned”. The psychotherapist and hypnotherapist has some techniques to effectively reduce his level of stress.

Do you feel anxious and don’t know how to get out of it? The psychotherapist and hypnotherapist Benjamin Lubszynski was the guest of Well done for you this Thursday on Europe 1 on the occasion of the release of his book Being Zen can be learned. He explained some of his techniques to combat daily stress.

Walk half an hour a day

Among the easy techniques to avoid stress are of course meditation (the basis of true Zen Buddhism), but also simple physical activities. “Half an hour of walking has the effect of a mild antidepressant on mood levels and anxiety. It maintains a good level of zen,” he explains.

Slow down your breathing

Breathing exercises are also very useful for combating states of anxiety. “We get stressed because we breathe too quickly. This creates a feeling of oppression”, sums up the psychotherapist. Repeating slow phases of inspiration and breathing for a minute, he says, can significantly reduce stress. “All breathing techniques have one goal: to make you slow down so that there is less oxygen in your blood and more CO2”. Another technique: inhale slowly through the nose and slowly exhale the air through a straw via the mouth. All these techniques fall under the method of “cardiac coherence”.

Forcing ourselves to think about our negative ideas

Very often, stress is generated by negative ideas that assail us and that we cannot get rid of. To evacuate them, the hypnotherapist has a technique that may seem paradoxical: “You take all your negative ideas and force yourself to think about them. By thinking about something, you regain control of it. And finally, you create weariness. and we stop thinking about it because we’re sick of it.”
