Strike in education: the doors of the Valin high school blocked in La Rochelle

In support of the teachers’ movement, the students blocked the entrances to the La Rochelle establishment

A tangle of carts and barriers, loud music, students massed in front of the gate, dancing and filming their performance with their phones.

A usual scene of demonstration at Valin high school, Thursday, January 20. With, however, additional masks and a large deployment of police. The police wanted to make sure that the blocking of the establishment would not cause clashes. For the record, a heated altercation between a high school student and a police officer was relayed on social networks in 2018. This was not the case this time, apart from a garbage fire quickly extinguished by firefighters.

Access was blocked with trolleys and barriers.
