Stromae: the singer will be the honorary president of the Victoires de la Musique

Stromae will be the honorary president of the 37th Victoires de la Musique ceremony, which will be held on February 11 at La Seine Musicale, in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine).

The Belgian singer succeeds Jean-Louis Aubert. At the beginning of January, the artist, who will release “Multitude” on March 4, had ignited the Web after his appearance in the TF1 television news where he had unveiled his new title “Hell”, which notably addresses his suicidal thoughts.

For this new edition, broadcast on France 2 from 9 p.m. and presented by Laury Thilleman and Olivier Minne, the big favorites are OrelSan, who released “Civilization” in November, the best-selling album in France in 2021, and Clara Luciani. They are both nominated in four categories: artist (male and female), album, song and audiovisual creation.

Juliette Armanet and the group Feu! Chatterton are quoted in three categories (artist, song, album). Not to mention Angela. The young singer could win two trophies, that of the original song of the year for her single “Bruxelles Je t’aime” and audiovisual creation for this same title.

Last year, during the 36th Victoires de la Musique ceremony, Benjamin Biolay signed a double male artist and best album. Another significant victory: that of the singer Apple who denounces sexist and sexual violence in the music industry. She walked away crowned with the title of Female Artist of the Year.
