  1. Put the flour in a bowl and make a well in it. Put the crumbled yeast, sugar and 4 tbsp lukewarm water in the well, stir gently and cover and let rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon oil and 120 ml lukewarm water and knead everything into a smooth dough using the dough hook on the hand mixer or in the food processor.
  3. Then knead the dough vigorously for about 10 minutes on a work surface sprinkled with flour, while also beating the dough on the work surface and pulling it for a long time.
  4. Shape the dough into a ball, place in a bowl and cover and let rise in a warm place for at least 2 hours until the dough has doubled in volume.
  5. Preheat the oven to 230 ° C (fan oven 210 ° C, gas level 5-6).
  6. Knead the pizza dough briefly again and roll it out in a rectangular shape (approx. 20×30 cm) on a floured work surface. Spread the tomato sauce evenly on top, leaving a little space to the edges. Sprinkle the Stromboli pizza with boiled ham, cheese, olives and other ingredients of your choice.
  7. Fold the edge of the dough over the filling on the short side so that it doesn't leak out later. Now roll up the pizza from the long side and press the edge into place at the end.
  8. Place the rolling pin on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, score the surface with a knife and sprinkle with cheese or dried herbs such as oregano as desired.
  9. Bake the Stromboli pizza in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes until it is golden brown. Cut into slices before serving.
