A strong field of participants, well-known vehicles and a profiled partner: The new special classification DRM Gentleman Trophy is proving to be a hit even before the season begins. Twelve crews have signed up for the list of participants and will be chasing points as part of the DRM from April 22nd.

Well-known vehicles such as the Ford Fiesta R5, Peugeot 208 T16, Skoda Fabia R5 and Citroën DS3 R5 tackle the special stages. Experienced pilots who are at least 40 years old are at the wheel of the rally cars. Georg Berlandy (52/Bingen) is one of the favorites. In his long career, the 52-year-old has not only celebrated numerous victories in rallies, but has also been successful in single-seater and GT racing. The same applies to Dennis Rostek (48/Bückeburg), who discovered his passion for drifting in 2017 after competing in long-distance classics such as the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. Raphael Ramonat (41/Schmalkalden) also wants to have a say in the award of the title and is always good for a win.

New special classification DRM Gentlemen Trophy with a strong field of participants

The Celler Grundbau company is now presenting partner of the DRM Gentlemen Trophy and is represented with a logo on the disc belts of the cars. Managing Director Alexander Benning, who has been chasing times in rallying for five years, will also be seen as a co-driver in a Citroen DS3 R5. The DRM Gentlemen Trophy takes place at five DRM runs. The driver or the team with the highest number of points in the overall classification of all registered participants will be awarded the “DRM Gentlemen Trophy 2022” at the finale on August 20 at the ADAC Saarland-Palatinate Rally.
