Struggling to find the name of her third baby, she lets her other children choose: the result surprises

To choose the middle name of her third baby, a British mother decided to leave the choice to her two other children. The result is as cute as it is surprising.

Choosing the name of a new baby can be complicated, especially if there are two, three or more. Why not decide together? This is what Eliza Flynn wanted, a London mother who gave birth to a third child in March 2022. She therefore decided to entrust the choice of his middle name to his two other sons aged 6 and 3, Arthur and Hector. The mother returned to this strange decision with our British colleagues from Mirror, last December 21.

Eliza Flynn explains that she has already “exhausted” all the ideas for names she and her husband had for their first two children. “We did not have no idea what they would name it. There were things we had to veto, like ‘Bum Bum Head,’ and so we chose his first name, which is Caspian.”, Eliza remembers. She adds : “I originally wanted Jasper, but I had a ferret named that and we vetoed it too. We loved Casper too, but people said he was like the ghost.” The boys decided to opt for a first name that evokes something that makes them “happy.

A name that “makes you happy”

Their first choice then focused on the word “Presents” (“gifts” in English), immediately rejected by their mother. Finally, Arthur and Hector opted for a simple, but above all very original, first name: Snow, which means “snow” in English. “I think the snow had just fallen and some of their fondest memories were related to snow. We thought it was a little weird at first, then we thought it was fun, Eliza testifies. If their choice caused some “raised eyebrows” from their loved ones and the father was not immediately convinced, the mother believes that the reaction “could have been worse”. When recording the baby’s name, the civil registry staff revealed to him that he was the first to be called Snow. Still others thought of Jon Snow, one of the main characters of the series Game Of Thrones. At any rate, some parents have also decided to imitate itby letting their children choose the first name of their little brother or sister.
