Whole grains, Pilates and lots of sleep: Current research says we should get out with our girls if we want to stay fit. And not just once a week.

Research is really something great, especially when it brings us results like this: A study of the Oxford University says that we should meet up with our friends to go out on a regular basis. At least twice a week.

Stronger immune system, less anxiety

We secretly always knew that being with our friends can only be good for us, but this is scientifically confirmed to us that drinking beer, gossiping and talking about opponents (in fact, these factors were taken into account) super healthy for us is.

According to the study, the meetings for a beer or Prosecco bring the following health benefits to women: They recover faster from illnesses, have a stronger immune system and are less anxious. In summary, it can be said that women feel more stable and better when they go out with their girlfriends.

The more responsibility we have, the more we need friendship

Incidentally, this does not only apply to women. Dr. Robin Dunbar, the psychologist in charge of the study, said the Huffington Post: “For both sexes, a large, well-integrated social network has a significant impact on physical and emotional health. Unfortunately, people with more extensive networks suffer less from illness, recover more quickly from operations and are less likely to die early “.

However, there is evidence that, on average, women need interpersonal relationships even more than men in order to be happy. Researchers are certain that bonding with others promotes serotonin and oxytocin levels – and that the more stress and responsibility we have in life, the more we need relationships with others.

Laughter is important!

According to the study, the “healthiest” are meetings with close friends when more than five women are present. Why? Because then apparently more jokes are made and more people laughed – and laughter is the decisive criterion for relaxation and the health factor of the meetings with the “girls”.

Not that we didn’t schedule our girlfriends anyway, but we’re taking them even more seriously now. For the sake of our health, of course.
