Study enters phase 3 – How are the children doing in the Corona crisis?

Repeated lockdowns have afflicted the three- to twelve-year-olds, in some cases with alarming effects on their mental health, according to a broadcast by the Innsbruck Medical University. In the second part of the study, in which 708 families took part in January, 15 percent of the children had clinically relevant symptoms. “We have more symptoms of anxiety, more trauma symptoms and a poorer quality of life,” explains study director and clinic director Kathrin Sevecke.
