The 30-year-old was doing woodcutting work in a forest in Mayrhofen. The accident happened when he felled a tree about 35 meters high. A work colleague provided first aid and started the rescue chain. The injured man was rescued by the Mayrhofen mountain rescue service, the emergency doctor and the air rescue service in the rescue helicopter and flown to the clinic in Innsbruck.
