Released in theaters on January 4, 2006, this film written and directed by Andrew Niccol (Welcome to Gattaca) tells the story of Yuri Orlov, one of the largest clandestine arms dealers in the world, confronted by an agent of Interpol (Ethan Hawke) as well as his own conscience.

Among them, that of nicotrash60 sums up the most positive opinions quite well: he obviously salutes Nicolas Cage’s performance, and “an exciting look at a revolting market with an epilogue that ends with a good mandal. Useful and well done so as not to spoil anything.”
Andrew Niccol and the actor will therefore put their title back on the line in 2025, with a sequel entitled Lords of War, which should be filmed in the coming months and where Yuri Orlov’s son will be played by Bill Skarsgard.
