A golden style tip: less is more. And among the accessories there are a few candidates who don’t do anything for us…

Guido Maria Kretschmer taught us: There is no right or wrong in fashion – as long as you feel comfortable. Well, it’s just that we come across so many different style tips on the internet, blogs, and social media that sometimes we get a little lost in style from all the advice. And get lost. Especially since a plethora of accessories flood the market with every new fashion season…

That’s why we now want to concentrate on the reduction. Because one day the everyday effect will also set in in fashion: Do we really still love this chain? Or is it just the habit that makes us keep putting it on? Is this belt really still trendy – and if not, does it still do anything for my style? Now it’s time to question. In our wardrobes and jewelry boxes there are a number of contaminated sites that are not only out of date, but that simply don’t do anything for us anymore. Be it because they are bulky, because they obscure our special details or because they only distract from our actual beauty. Admittedly, there is also a bit of separation pain – but at least we make room for something new!

Style tip: 5 accessories that don’t do anything for us

chokers

They made a brief comeback and certainly, in some styles they are definitely indispensable – in the goth or alternative area, for example, with rivets or velvet elements. But when we think of pearls and the tattoo motifs of yesteryear, they are welcome to travel back in time. The chokers shorten the neck, look unflattering if they are a little too tight and, above all, are incredibly uncomfortable for many people anyway. We don’t have to torture ourselves any longer.

fringed belt

When we’re not out and about in the wild west, we can confidently say goodbye to fringed belts. The fringes – especially if they are made of velor or suede – quickly appear bulky around the waist as well as around the hips. And disguise the natural, beautiful curves!

Earrings or shoulder brushes?

Statement necklaces and earrings can do a lot for an outfit, no question. However, if they get too big and earrings, for example, almost rest on the shoulders, they quickly have a negative effect, especially on small, petite people: they appear burdened, and the face and neck are reduced.

upper arm bracelets

The upper arms are not exactly a favorite part of the body for many people. But they don’t have to hide anyone: after all, they’ve been carrying things around for our entire lives and are home to our muscles, which provide us with strength. They can also wave nicely there. What they don’t need are biceps. Even the slenderest of arms quickly constrict them in order to hold them up and well, nobody really feels comfortable there anymore.

chain chaos

The layered look has long since arrived in the accessories sector. And the chains falling on top of each other look really nice – especially with a deep V-neckline. In everyday life, however, they are rather unsuitable: If you wear several necklaces over a longer period of time, chaos is pre-programmed. Especially fine chains get caught quickly, unravel slowly and stress us in the long term. Then rather rely on individual, beautiful pieces – with which we are not busy all day.
