There is hardly any other time of the year when we can indulge ourselves in terms of styling and fashion like at Christmas time. Even in times of Corona, looks with leather, teddy fur, wool, velvet & Co. should not be missing. You can read here how to best style the X-mas looks and which combos are always good.

To eat cake with grandma on Advent Sunday, to eat raclette with your best friend or to a holiday marathon with the family: there are plenty of occasions for extravagant or unusual outfits in December. We'll give you inspiration as to which looks definitely fit into the glittering and glowing pre-Christmas season – no matter what type of figure you are.

The turtleneck dress made of wool

One of our December favorites is the wool turtleneck dress – coarse or fine knit does not matter. It is only important that the dress has a pretty, fluffy turtleneck that gives us a certain amount of comfort. Because especially on a stormy and cold Advent Sunday we want to look stylish over cake with friends, but not forego the feel-good factor. Thanks to the different cuts, the turtleneck dress is an it-piece for every figure. The figure-hugging variant for slim and tall silhouettes can go up to the middle of the calf. Women who tend to be rather slim and short should choose a shorter dress version down to the knee. The last minute trick: For the perfect appearance, curves can be conjured up or accentuated with a narrow waist belt and a pair of boots with heels.

The metallic pleated skirt

An all-time favorite for the Christmas season is the pleated skirt. In a shimmering metallic tone, the skirt not only arouses Christmas associations in us, but also suits each of us. The skirt is worn at the waist and conjures up a wonderful figure with its A-line. The it-piece can be styled for both cozy and elegant occasions with a black turtleneck or a cream-colored silk blouse. The pleated skirt is also an uncomplicated companion when it comes to footwear. Whether flat or high – with its waist cut it conjures up long legs for us anyway.

The black velvet dress

What is special about velvet? It's a cozy fabric that looks both sexy and elegant. In the color black, it is a must-have in every wardrobe and an ideal look for a special event in cool temperatures, because velvet keeps you nice and warm. As a boxy-cut dress that we combine with gold jewelry, it attracts everyone under the Christmas tree. Another plus point: In the color black and due to the solid material, nothing can be seen in this look, a relaxed solution, especially for an extended Christmas dinner with cookies, roasts, etc.

A leather culottes

The history of the culottes goes back to the late 17th century. At that time they were still considered the typical men's trousers, now it is impossible to imagine a fashion-conscious woman without them. The nice thing about the leather culottes: their tapering crotch on the leg and the relatively high-cut waistband conjure up endless legs and thus make the pants a smart investment – regardless of whether you are slim, curvy, tall or short. You can combine them with knitted and turtleneck sweaters or with a simple shirt with a blazer. A diverse all-rounder that we don't want to miss out on, especially in December!

The fluffy teddy coat

Yes, the temperatures in December can sometimes go below zero. With a teddy coat in a beautiful beige or cognact tone, we still dare to take a winter walk outside. Because: The trend piece not only keeps you incredibly warm, it also simply looks stylish. When combining, you should make sure that you dress your legs relatively narrow, i.e. the jeans with wide legs should rather stay in the closet. The coat looks best with black tights or skinny jeans. When it comes to footwear, however, you have the ultimate freedom: everything goes from sneakers to boots to high-heeled ankle boots.
