Success of Inerta’s 2021 campaign and anticipation of the scheduled maintenance phase
Europlasma, a specialist in treatment and hazardous waste, material recovery and decarbonization, announces the performance of Inertam, an asbestos treatment subsidiary, in 2021.
Thanks to the two optimization and improvement phases carried out during winter and summer 2021, production rates for the 4th quarter of 2021 reached a high level. The average daily volume is 23 tonnes compared to 18 tonnes at the time of the shutdown in 2019. The production target set at 4,700 tonnes in 2021 has therefore been exceeded. The estimated turnover of the asbestos treatment activity came to € 7.6 million for the year (unaudited figures) compared to € 3.8 million in 2020.
The historical stock thus fell sharply to stand at 3,400 tonnes at December 31, 2021. As a reminder, it represented 9,200 tonnes when the plant was restarted in summer 2020. In fact, the Group reduced its liabilities by nearly € 9 million in just 18 months.
