Successful premiere – vaccination bus “on tour” for the first time in Vorarlberg

On Sunday a vaccination bus was on the road in Vorarlberg for the first time, the premiere at the poolbar festival in Feldkirch was quite successful: after all, 366 first vaccinations were carried out. The low-threshold vaccination offers seem to generally work: On Saturday, over 1000 people had their first dose administered as part of the so-called “last-minute vaccinations” – i.e. appointments agreed at short notice.

A total of 25,100 people received a vaccine dose from Tuesday to Sunday, and it was the second sting for 23,700 people. Thus, almost 59 percent of all Vorarlberg residents are at least partially immunized, 52 percent already have full vaccination protection.

As of Monday morning, 114 people in the state had tested positive for the corona virus. There is still calm in the hospitals – not a single Covid patient currently needs treatment there. As stable as the situation seems, the low number of infections is not set in stone. Health Councilor Martina Rüscher is therefore renewing her appeal to all those returning from vacation to be tested on the first and third day after their return trip. “A so-called living room test or a free antigen test in a test street are best suited for this.”
