The Toten Hosen report on Instagram about the success of their fundraising campaign for Ukraine. The band wants to double the amount raised.

Die Toten Hosen have the latest developments on their fundraising campaign for Ukraine at Instagram shared with their fans. The band recently launched a t-shirt and profits from sales will be donated. “We are touched by so much solidarity: within a few days, the sale of the ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ solidarity shirts has so far raised 60,000 euros in donations for the Ukrainian refugees,” the post said. As a thank you for the “great participation”, the band decided to double the said amount and “now get 120,000 euros on the way”.

Action is continued

The sale of the solidarity shirts will continue and all other funds should be transferred quickly after settlement, the posting explains. In addition, the musicians once again stated how the donation amount was made up. “Only the pure production costs, i.e. the purchase price of the shirts and the printing costs, are deducted, all other income is donated and our merchandising sales department also works for free.” Profits are donated to the United Nations Refugee Agency.

Shirt in Ukrainian national colors

“We too are appalled by the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine,” the band said a few days ago on its website and in an Instagram post. In order to help those affected, the T-shirt in the Ukrainian national colors is now available for purchase. The band logo can be seen in blue on a black background, with the words “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and “Die Toten Hosen” written in a yellow circle around it. The song’s lyrics include: “Go on, go on / With hope in your heart / And you’ll never walk alone.”
