  • As various media unanimously report, the founder of the World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab, is said to have initiated his successor.
  • The 86-year-old founder of the forum announced that he would be giving up his position as Executive Chairman.
  • The news portal “Semafor” was the first to report about it. The WEF media office confirmed this to various newspapers.

Schwab will still remain on the WEF board, but without executive responsibility. The change should take place before the next edition in January. It is still unclear who will succeed Schwab.
