It is a tragedy that shakes the inhabitants of Courcelles-sous-Châtenois in the Vosges. And for good reason, three members of the same family died a few days apart. In less than a week, this unvaccinated tribe was wiped out. On Sunday November 14, 2021, the 49-year-old son was found dead in his bed. The first death in a series. And for good reason, the next day, Monday, November 15, 2021, his 82-year-old mother died in turn. Her husband, aged 89, died in turn on Saturday, November 20, 2021. All died of Covid-19 when they had chosen not to be vaccinated.
“Get vaccinated”
A neighbor, interviewed by RTL, is shocked by these successive deaths: “I was far from suspecting that the ambulances were for them. It had a funny effect on me. We are all shocked”, she reacted. Another neighbor says she has grasped the benefits of vaccination to fight against severe forms of the virus: “We were surprised anyway because they weren’t vaccinated. We understand that this can change things ”, she says. The mayor of the town, Michel Humblot, shared a message to raise awareness among its citizens: “It’s a family that was not vaccinated. So get vaccinated! Protect yourself and protect others ”. This Wednesday, November 24, 2021, while France is facing a fifth wave, a health defense council will meet to decide on the new measures to be taken, or not, to contain the pandemic. According to the first elements shared by Europe 1, the third dose should be extended to all adults.
