Successor soon fixed – Klagenfurt’s sports director moves to Germany

Now it’s fixed! Bundesliga club Austria Klagenfurt loses its sports director Matthias Imhof to SV Sandhausen.

The German Imhof, who has worked in various positions for the Carinthians since 2019, will become the new sports director for the relegated team from the second German Bundesliga. In Klagenfurt, the 55-year-old played a key role in the sporting upswing, and he often drew attention to himself with harsh criticism from referees. According to Peer Jaekel, the “Head of Football” at main shareholder SEH, his successor will soon be settled.
