By marrying Christophe (Hubert Benhamdine), Judge Alphand was far from imagining that she was going to marry a terrible serial killer. As she begins to ask questions and have serious doubts about her husband’s real occupations, he seems ready to do anything to protect her secret. To the point of killing her?
WILL CHRISTOPHE KILL CÉCILE?
In a new extract available on the france.tv platform, Christophe is in the kitchen of his house. Panicked and out of breath, he walks firmly towards the living room where Cécile is sitting at the table, her back to him.
“I’m sorry, I have no choice“, he explains to his wife before continuing. “This is the mission that God entrusted to me, you understand?“As he prepares to stick a syringe containing a deadly liquid into her neck, Cécile grabs his wrist vigorously before declaring: “It’s not God who asks you this, it’s the devil“. The next moment, Christophe begins to scream at the top of his lungs.
While there is no doubt that this scene is just a nightmare, Christophe and Cécile’s love story could still turn into tragedy.
CHRISTOPHE IS IN FULL INNER CONFLICT
During an interview last July, Hubert Benhamdine, the interpreter of Christophe, told our microphone that his character “could ask the question of killing Cécile“.
“From the moment it comes to his wife, it will be a bit like the moment of truth“, he told us before continuing: “It really risks being a clash between its two sides. Between his human, loving side and his dark side.
From what I’ve been told, that could go very, very far in terms of what he’s capable of considering to get out of this. I think the next arch we’re going to shoot in August is going to be pretty terrible“.
And added: “The idea of having to put your family in danger to save your own skin is going to be horrible. I think this will be the worst dilemma Christophe will ever have in his life“.
This does not bode well for Cécile in the sequel to Un si grand soleil…
