Such a great sun: death of a character, nascent couple… Unpublished information revealed!

The absence of Un si grand soleil on France 2 continues, but some revelations have been made about the series and its next episodes.

The wait continues until the return of Un si grand soleil on Tuesday April 12 at 8:45 p.m. on France 2, but to help fans wait, the channel has planned some special programs. Thereby three new episodes are available on france.tv and on Salto since March 28, and the first part of a documentary on the series is also available from this Saturday, April 2 on france.tv. In the latter, the actors of the soap opera take advantage of the camera to make some revelations, whether about their characters or about themselves. We thus learn that the actor Hubert Benhamdine should have remained only a very short time in the series, and especially that his character should have died. Facing the camera, he explains that a producer once said to him: “Your character, Christophe Lemeur, should have died and in the end we decided not to.”. However, it was not the opportunities that were missed, but the production decided otherwise.

“He could very well have been carried away by his heart problem. But since the production was quite happy with what was happening, they decided to put a part back in the machine.” concludes Hubert Benhamdine with a smile. For his part, Melanie Maudranwho has played Claire Estrela since the start of the series, confirms that “nothing is set in stone“. This is one of the reasons why it often happens that the actresses and actors are surprised by the turn of events for their characters. Soria Moufakkir was in the same situation as Hubert Benhamdine since she says that when she joined the series, he was told that Yasmine Benjelloun was a guest and therefore that she was only there for a few days. However “I had no news for a year after shooting a few episodes, and I was called back to tell me that the character of Yasmine was going to gain in importance“, which viewers got to see with the whole ark of the drug trade…

The second interesting thing revealed by the first part of the documentary Un si grand soleil is that actress Hélène Degy was pregnant when she returned in the series. Delighted to find the character of Gaëlle Lestrac, Hélène Degy however had to be dubbed on certain scenes but proved to be delighted with “to be able to work while pregnant and production permitting”. Finally, the third piece of information concerns precisely Gaëlle, but also Alex Levy, played by Benjamin Bourgois. The return of Gaëlle has indeed come to upset Alex’s heart, even if he is happy in a relationship with Julie. And when they talk about it, the interpreters of the two characters make it clear that all is not over between Gaëlle and Alex.

Will Alex and Gaëlle get back together?

Alex, it was her only love story (…) The only beautiful memory she has since she was in prison is Alex. She clings to that, to an idea almost…“explains Hélène Degy to situate the state of mind of Gaëlle, who could end up “fall in love with a memory“. Benjamin Bourgois meanwhile emphasizes that “whatever happens, when Alex sees Gaëlle again, there will always be something”. His character still struggles a bit, though the rest could be even more complicated since the actor teases the conflict”between his love for Julie, which is sincere, and what he still feels for Gaëlle”. What to expect, perhaps, a reunion full of sparks between the exes…
