End clap for one of the actors of “Un si grand soleil”… Hubert Benhamdine, the interpreter of Christophe, has in fact announced that he will soon leave the France 2 series.
The time to say goodbye has come for an emblematic actor from Un si grand soleil. After Coline Ramos-Pinto, the interpreter of Kira who left the series last March, it is now the turn of Hubert Benhamdine to announce his departure from the soap opera.
The actor actually confided to Télé Star that he was going to very soon hang up the costume of Christophe, a character he has played since 2019.

It’s in the columns of TV Star that Hubert Benhamdine announced his departure from Un si grand soleil. “It couldn’t last forever. We would have ended up getting bored with this story and then I think we reached the climax of this character with his slide into a mystical delirium“, he explained to our colleagues.
The actor, who is a key element of the France 2 soap opera, also confided that it was he who made this decision “for personal reasons”. “It occurred to me that I had to prioritize my health, that I take care of myself more. But I don’t want to dwell on the subject” he added.
What end for Christophe?
In the next episodes of Un si grand soleil, Becker will ask Cécile to reopen the file on the Florist because he has doubts about the investigation that was carried out at the time.
For his part, Hugo will put the pieces of the puzzle together and will realize that his friend Christophe has fooled them from the start. Feeling that the noose is tightening on him, he goes to a wood to kill himself.
“Christophe leaves a letter in which he explains that he acted for the good of humanity, that he felt invested with a divine mission and that he loves Achille and me. Big deal”, revealed Marie-Gaëlle Cals, Cécile’s interpreter.
The actress, however, regrets that there is no final confrontation between the two characters. “I’ve found [la résolution de l’intrigue] fast and effective. It couldn’t end well anyway. I would have found it tasty if we could have a confrontation between our two characters but that was not possible. There are constraints that we cannot always control.”
The death of Christophe, and consequently the departure of Hubert Benhamdine from Un si grand soleil, should take place the week of June 17 on France 2.
