(CercleFinance.com) – Suez successfully launches an issue of 10-year green bonds for an amount of 500 million euros with a coupon of 4.50%.
This operation was a great success with an oversubscription of 5.5 times and an order book reaching 2.7 billion euros. More than 200 investors have renewed their confidence in the group.
This issue mainly aims to refinance part of the acquisition facility of 1.2 billion euros raised in December 2022 to finalize the acquisitions of Suez Recycling and Recovery UK and IWS specialized in the management of hazardous waste in France . It may also make it possible to finance eligible projects as defined in the Group’s Green Bond Framework.
Suez’s long-term senior debt is rated Baa2 (stable outlook) by Moody’s.
